CBI development Ramada St Kitts officially opens

The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Timothy Harris, officially opened the Ramada St Kitts hotel on 2 December.

An approved project under the St Kitts & Nevis Citizenship by Investment (CBI) programme, the 300-room, five-star hotel is seen as giving a welcome boost to the country’s hospitality industry and employment opportunities for local residents.

PM Harris was joined by cabinet colleagues Akilah Byron-Nisbett, Jonel Powell, Eugene Hamilton and Wendy Phipps, while Citizenship by Investment Unit CEO Les Khan was also on hand at the grand opening.

“Today, we are celebrating the official opening of Ramada, and I want to place on record the Government’s deep appreciation to Ramada for the investment at this critical moment in time,” said PM Harris.

“It speaks well to efforts at diversifying the economy, especially at this critical period in time, and I am sure that the guests who will come will certainly enjoy the accommodating environment here in the northeast of St Kitts and Nevis.”

Construction on the hotel began in 2015.
